#bookaday – 21. Summer read

Blogging through June with #bookaday, and today is…

21. Summer read

Speaking from experience, I can personally vouch for this as a summer read. Honestly. Spot on choice for reading on the beach of Tenerife. Sipping cocktails and reading about death camps (in reverse!), it’s really only second to A Boy Called It.

(For reference, that holiday I also read A Density of Souls by Christopher Rice, which was set in the winter of New Orleans, so also not ideal, and Could It Be Magic? by Paul Magrs, set on a northern council estate, which was a step up. None of the three ideal choices for by the pool though.)
